Kristen Mary Jenner, born November 5, 1955 is an American television personality, author, Star, Creator, and Executive Producer of her own hit reality TV series called Keeping Up With the Kardashians for E! Entertainment network.

Jenner was born as Kristen Mary Houghton in San Diego, California. She is the daughter of Mary Jo Shannon (Campbell) and Robert Houghton, an engineer. She has English, Scottish, and Dutch ancestry. When Jenner was seven years old, her parents divorced and she and her younger sister Karen were raised solely by their mother. A few years later, Kris's mother remarried to businessman Harry Shannon. Three months after moving to Oxnard, California, Harry's business partner ran off with all the company's money, so the family moved back to San Diego. Jenner attended Clairemont High School. Kris Jenner worked as an airline stewardess for a year in 1976.
Kris married her first husband, lawyer Robert Kardashian (widely known for his early representation of O.J. Simpson) on July 8, 1978. They had four children: daughters Kourtney (born 1979), Kim (born 1980), Khloé (born 1984) and son Rob (born 1987). The couple divorced in March 1991 but continued to be close friends after the divorce, up through Robert's diagnosis with esophageal cancer and his death in 2003.
Kris married her second husband, former Olympian Bruce Jenner, in April 1991. Through Bruce, she has four stepchildren, Burton "Burt" Jenner, Brandon Jenner, Brody Jenner and Cassandra Lynn "Casey" Jenner. Kris and Bruce Jenner have two daughters together: Kendall (born 1995) and Kylie (born 1997). The two announced their separation in October 2013.
Jenner has three grandchildren: grandson Mason Dash Disick (born 2009)[ and granddaughter Penelope Scotland Disick (born 2012), from her daughter Kourtney's relationship with Scott Disick; and granddaughter North "Nori" West (born 2013), from her daughter Kim's relationship with rapper Kanye West.
Jenner is the president of her own production company, and also manages the careers of her six children, Kourtney and Kimberly Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian Odom, Rob Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner, who enjoy their own successes as television personalities, business people, entrepreneurs and spokespersons. She owns and operates numerous businesses and oversees and helps develop many successful brands for her daughters including Kardashian Beauty by Kourtney, Kim and Khloé, the Kim Kardashian Fragrance Collection, Unbreakable by Khloé and Lamar, and a Global Lifestyle Line for Sears as well as her own line of apparel the Kris Jenner Kollection for QVC.
