Oakland Police Release Photo of Robbery Suspect, Asking for Publics Help to Identify Him

The Oakland Police Department requests assistance from the media and the community in identifying an alleged armed robbery suspect. Investigators have released this photo of the person they believe to be one of two people responsible for committing an armed robbery on August 19, 2013, at 7:30 PM, in the 2100 block of East 28th Street.
Suspect 1 is described as an African American male, 17-21 years old, 5’4, 150 pounds, dark complexion, with short black hair and brown eyes. He has solid gold covering his upper and lower teeth.
The attached photo shows Suspect 1 after the commission of the crime. Suspect 2 is described as an African American male, 17-21 years old, 6’0, 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Both suspects were armed with handguns.
BACKGROUND: On August 19, 2013, at 7:30 PM, officers responded to the 2100 block of East 28th Street on a report of an armed robbery. The victim was walking down the street when she was approached by two suspects. They both demanded her cell phone and necklace. The suspects then fled the scene with the loss. Later that day, Suspect 1 used the victim’s cell phone to take the attached self portrait.
